Il Pastaio

Beverly Hills
(310) 205-5444
For those of you in love with meat, stay clear of this gem. The dishes
are mainly vego-centric. We found the seating arrangement a bit on
the tight side but if you want to be seen why worry about the spacing
of the tables. on.-Sat. 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Sun. 5-10 p.m. Full bar.

Ita Cho
7311 W. Beverly Blvd.
Los Angeles
(323) 938-9009
On most weekend evenings, you will wait a long time to be seated but
once inside, the service, excellent food and atmosphere of the eatery
will all be worth it. The cuisine is Japanese with humility and the
presentation is minimalist. Order the food in the spirit of sharing
because you will not be able to keep your fingers busy just with your
own food. Tues.Sat., 6:3010:15 p.m. Beer, wine and sake. AE, MC, V.

Mastro's
246 N. Canon Dr.
Beverly Hills
(310) 888-8782
Be warned, this is one in a chain of restaurants and tends to be a
little too neo Rat Pack A restaurant for meat lovers who care less
about their cholesterol level if their steak is well-prepared, and
at Mastro's they know how to do steaks. The bar is one of the best
in the city and you need those Martinis to wash down the steaks. For
more fun remain upstairsand if you are interested in presentation,
order at least one seafood for the dry ice effect.

Jake's
9527 Santa Monica Blvd.
Beverly Hills
(310) 276-7823
Cheesesteaks and subs are the specialty and if you miss a real Philly,
then get there in a hurry. They import the dough for their rolls directly
from Jersey and are proud to tell you about it. Fries come in garlic,
cheese, spicy or plain and it is a sin to have a Philly without them.

When Spago on Sunset Boulevard closed its doors, restaurant connoisseurs
mourned the loss of a legend, but mourn no more, Spago in Beverly
Hills is better. There is a patio area and if you get to choose,
you will want to be there. As usual, the kitchen is out of this
world and you will enjoy watching the army of chefs preparing you
an extraordinary dish with passion that should be devoted to a first
love. Spago should be on top of your list if you want to see and

Woo
Lao Oak
170 N. La Cienega Blvd.
Beverly Hills CA
(310) 652-4187
One of the most authentic Korean restaurants outside Seoul. For those
of you who want to mix things up, there are a lot of fusion Korean-French
dishes, but no matter what you choose, you will not be disappointed.
Like any respectable Korean eatery, there is the tabletop barbecue
where you can have your marinated beef bul-gogi, served with great
kim-chi. If you have some room left, try the delicate and tasty French
deserts.
