2004 Mercedes-Benz SL600 Once again Mercedes has produced the last word in refinement and good looks without an uncompromising 493 horsepower V-12 powered SL. You could opt for the similar SL55, if you are into more of a sporty look, but if you need to look chic, elegant and reserved while packing a punch under the hood of your wheels, you will have to choose the turbine-smooth power of the SL600.
Under the hood you will find a newly developed Mercedes V-12, with two turbochargers, an air/water intercooler, three-valves per cylinder, twin-spark AC ignition. Even with Mercedes standards in mind, the innovations are breath taking. The engine has an output of 368-kW/500 hp and maximum torque of 800 NMs, which is available from just 1800 rpm and remains on tap at a constant level all the way up to 3600 rpm.
